Water-based topcoat for the fire retardant paints Protega Wood-S, Protega Upgrade, Protega Steel 1001, Protega Steel 1002, Novatherm 2FR, and Novatherm 4FR.
For Fire Ratings like B-s1,d0, it’s crucial that any topcoat to be applied over the fire retardant paint is tested and approved in conjunction with the fire retardant paint. This means that the topcoat must have been included in the fire test upon which the B-s1,d0 fire requirement approval is based. It’s also important that the amount of topcoat does not exceed the specified limit. For the Fire Rating B-s1,d0, the maximum paint quantity of Topcoat W is 100 grams/m2.
