Transparent fire retardant paint for wood!
Protega Wood-C is a water-based transparent fire retardant paint for light wood materials indoors, such as birch, pine, or spruce.
The substrate must be at least 8mm thick and have a density of at least 338kg/m3.
In the event of a fire, Protega Wood-C transforms into a foam layer. This layer effectively dampens the heat flow to the substrate.
There is also a co-tested water-based topcoat available for the fire retardant paint, Protega Topcoat C. Naturally, both the fire retardant paint and the topcoat are type-approved by RISE and meet Fire Class B-s1,d0.
